Another twist to my favorite breakfast to start the day: Strawberry oatmeal! Perfect when organic strawberries are in season. Oatmeal is great for breakfast always, and making sure you change it up a bit every day will give you a whole other breakfast to eat!

Strawberry oatmeal
A delicious twist to the old fashioned oatmeal breakfast dish.
Recipe type: breakfast
Serves: 1
Prep time:
Cook time:
Total time:
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 2 cups of water
  • pinch of salt
  • strawberries
  • stevia (maple syrup or honey)
  • shaved almonds
  • pumpkin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  1. Cook 1 cup of oats with 2 cups of water until you get oatmeal, you can add just a little bit of salt for flavoring.
  2. Stir the strawberries in a hot pan until they get warm and soft.
  3. Add some stevia or honey to the strawberries to make them taste sweeter.
  4. Serve the oatmeal mixed with the pumpkin seeds and topped with the warm strawberries.
  5. Sprinkle on top chia seeds, the shaved almonds and top with 1 strawberry.
  6. FYI: when using a lot of chia seeds in a dish, they should be soaked first, as they absorb a lot of water and can expand otherwise in your stomach.
  7. Enjoy!
