Hi guys!

I returned to New York City and this past week I have been eating healthy at a few of my favorite restaurants! I would like to share them and their dishes with you, so you either go check it out, or try to imitate the recipes at home yourself! Here we go:

Le Pain Quotidien is all over the city. It is a great place to start the day. Originated in Belgium, it brings the best of Belgium to this restaurant, and I mean Belgian chocolate, good organic bread and more. There are many Le Pain Quotidien restaurants being opened around the world. I like that they have all their ingredients be as organic as possible. Things I like are the oatmeal with pecans and maple syrup as breakfast, their organic soft boiled eggs with whole wheat bread, and their sandwiches are great too. Like the ricotta and fig one!

I love this place Fig & Olive, they have a few restaurants in NYC. There are a lot of vegetarian options which I like! I got the crab and butter lettuce salad as pictured below.

I went to Caravan of Dreams , a lovely vegan cafe with delicious salads and smoothies (and more) and they have these 2 salads I LOVE: the mediterranean salad with grilled tofu and seaweed, and the Omega salad. I love their house dressing. The Omega salad ingredients are: avocado, mixed greens, spiced nuts, cucumber, tomatoes, sunflower sprouts. One of my other favorite dishes in the world: the Ravioli of the day with marinara sauce on a bed of steamed kale. yum! Caravan of Dreams, 405 East 6th Street New York, NY 10009

Then I went with friends to Eataly, the place owned by Mario Batali. Who recently went on a vegetarian diet, and lost a lot of weight by doing so. His place Eataly has a lot of energy. you can just stand at a bar and get a great cup of coffee, or a cheese platter, but you can also eat at one of the tables and order delicious things from their vegetable, grill or fish bar. I had the salad below and it was delish! Eataly, 200 5th Avenue New York, NY 10010. (212) 229-2560

I went to brunch with friends to this little restaurant called “Good”. I saw the menu and it was all very non-vegetarian… But they worked with me and made this delicious salad that is on the menu but with chicken. Their french toast with banana cream inside is also just too Good! 89 Greenwich Avenue New York, NY 10014 (212) 691-8080.

I also visited Gobo, an old favorite of mine. I used to always order from there. I got the Spinach wonton soup, and the pine nut, vegetable medley and lettuce to make lettuce wraps. So good! I also had their bubble tea. you know with tapioca soft chewy bubbles in them. So tasty! 401 6th Avenue New York (212) 255-3242

Salads are great for you. But I am not a big fan of them honestly. So I have to make them fun. So I go to places I know where they have good salads. Or if I cook myself I like to make my salad super tasty so I eat it! What are you favorite salad recipes? Share them with me!
