When I get hungry, and need to eat something healthy fast, I make Avocado on Wasa Crackers or a slice of roasted multigrain bread.
It is so easy and tasty!
I got this idea a little bit from one of my favorite restaurants in NYC: Cafe Gitane. There they serve a slice of Multigrain bread, with a layer of mashed avocado, a bit of olive oil, and red pepper flakes.
Cafe Gitane is not expensive, but fresh and oh so tasty. It is very small, and located on Mottstreet between Houston and Princestreet. If u are in that area, give it a try. They are open from 9am on.( also a model and celeb hang out if you really want to know!)
What do you need for this snack?
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2 slices of roasted multigrain bread, or wasa crackers.
- red pepper flakes
How do you make it?
You open the avocado (watch video below) and with a fork you take out the avocado meat. Then you mash it onto the slice of bread. A bit of salt and pepper, and a few red pepper flakes.
Avocado has a lot of healthy fats for your body. So a few times a week eating it, will benefit you in my opinion. It also gives you a satisfied feeling, and stills your hunger.
