Iced tea

Iced tea!

Who says you can’t enjoy a nice cold drink with no calories in the Summer?

I say you can!

I make my own iced tea.

Boil water, make your favorite tea, and then let it cool off… Put it in the fridge. You can add fresh herbs for the flavor like fresh mint leaves. At the time of serving, you can add ice cubes. (or just a bit before) If you want to sweeten it, you can add agave syrup, honey, or liquid sugar( but that is not my favorite!) Supersimple!

It is very important in the heat especially, to stay hydrated, this is a good way to supply your body with water.

My favorite is with fresh lemon juice added!

Actually you want to regulate your body temperature to the outdoor temperature in every season, especially summer. When I stayed in the Netherlands a few years ago,the family I stayed with drank hot tea at all hours to acclimate to the warm weather.I still avoid ice beverages for this reason, also they inhibit digestion, which is part of Ayurveda, the holistic system of natural medicine in India, which is between 3,500 and 5,000 years old! The older, the wiser. :-)
