TRENDS and TRENDSETTERS. Sometimes we love them or hate them, depending on our personal preferences in taste or style, but there’s a new kid on the block and surprisingly, she’s just as lovely on the inside as she looks on the outside, her name is real FOOD. No wonder everyone is falling in love.
I came across this caption this morning ‘Food is the new Black’. Love it. It sums up my concept of modern food preparation nicely. So I shared it on my Instagram. As many of you know, over the last couple of years I’ve poured my heart and soul into creating a book called ‘Model Chocolate‘.
Often in the not-so-distant-past, gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, vegan or vegetarian food has been considered ‘rabbit’ or ‘hippie food’ by mainstream food lovers. I personally wanted to change that. When I came up with the idea of my ‘superfood meets fashion’ styled cookbook, my desire was that it would revolutionise the way people thought about ‘healthy’ foods, and to inspire them that alternative food preparation could be as interesting, delicious and even spunky as the food they were used to. Actually, healthful, nutritious and deliciously natural foods are much more than that! Real food, unprocessed, and prepared as close to nature as possible more than just satisfies. It helps to create the wonderful synergy within our bodies to inspire change on more than simply a physical level. It uplifts the way we think, the choices we make in other areas of our lives, and motivates inspiration to live richer lives than what we considered possible.
So let me encourage you to ‘get your VOGUE on’! By that I mean go with the still-fairly-new trend of a healthier way of eating. Why not take the plunge and experience all that life has to offer you. It’s becoming easier than ever to choose natural, organic, life-filled foods. Let’s get behind a trend which will not only enrich our own lives, but make our world a truly better place, encouraging sustainable farming and produce which will in time become affordable for all.
