I’ve just finished making the most easy cilantro, or ‘coriander’ as we call it, PESTO! Best thing about this recipe is that it is not only simple to make but really YUMMY.

It’s also a ‘natural medicine‘ concoction which helps to remove heavy metals from the body :) BRILLIANT for anyone with high mercury levels in the blood, hormonal imbalances, cancer, thyroid problems, neurological disturbances, learning problems, depression, food allergies, parasites, etc etc. I obtained the recipe from my sister-in-law years ago, who runs a renowned Health Retreat in Australia. Apparently one lady had such high blood pressure due to severe mercury poisoning, had her blood pressure return to normal after eating 2 teaspoons of this pesto daily for only a week. So whether you need to detox your body from heavy metals or just wish to use it as a preventative measure, 2 teaspoons a day is all you need to feel the benefits.


4 cloves of garlic

1/3 cup brazil nuts (selenium)

1/3 cup sunflower seeds (cysteine)

1/3 cup pumpkin seeds (zinc, magnesium)

2-3 cups packed fresh coriander (Vitamin A)

2/3 cup flaxseed oil (omega rich fats) (I used hemp oil today)

4 tablespoons lemon juice (Vitamin C) (I replaced 1 Tbsp with apple cider)

1 teaspoon celtic or himalayan salt (pink salt) (may use Japanese Miso)


Pile everything into a blender & BLEND until fairly smooth. Add more salt if you want to & blend again. Otherwise simply store your delicious pesto in glass jars (dark glass is best), in the fridge. It freezes well, so you can buy plenty of coriander in season & freeze it for up to six months.

You could eat it this pesto three times a year, for a week at a time, to cleanse your body of heavy metals. Tastes soo good on toast, with baked potatoes or pasta, with poached eggs, I even love it as a serving addition to bowls of soup!
