Raw Chocolate Brownies
A delicious brownie with raw ingredients.
Cuisine: rawfood
Recipe type: sweets & snacks
Serves: 4
Prep time:
Total time:
  • 1.5 cups organic raw walnuts
  • 1.5 cups organic fresh medjool dates, pitted
  • ¾ cup raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon natural vanilla
  • Pinch himalayan pink salt or 3 squirts 'Cea' spray (as I did!)...
  • Pure raw cacao nibs for sprinkling!
  1. Simply WHIZ your walnuts in a food-processor until fine (about 1 minute)
  2. Add pitted dates, salt & vanilla, whizzz again until quite fine & starting to bind.
  3. Add cacao powder, one more whiz & you're done!
  4. You want it the mixture to be slightly dough-like but still crumbly.
  5. Press into a glass storage dish & refrigerate! That's it.
If you'd like a chewier texture you can pop them into the freezer for a while before serving. Another nice touch would be to melt a little 'creamed coconut' & make white crosses on them especially for Easter, or even some desiccated coconut would do it.
