Hi, how’s your week going!?.. I don’t have time to write a long post today, but I’d like to provoke your thoughts a little. I’m munching on organic apples (pictured), halved, cores intact & served with a sprinkling of organic cinnamon. Simply lovely with a pot of tea!

Apple seeds are bad for you

When you search for “apple seeds” online, all sorts of scary articles appear (makes for interesting reading!) about apple seeds being bad for you as they are poisonous if you eat a lot of them. Now if you really want to confuse yourself, type in the benefits or nutrition of apple seeds. Interesting uh?… I reckon nature knows best & if we were a little more in tune with the natural world we might even know what would heal us, as the animals do!

Eating apple seeds

I personally am into eating apple seeds. Not obsessively of course, but if it’s a fresh crisp organic apple & the core is perfect I EAT IT. Can’t help it really! IT’s beautiful star beckons! I remember reading (Jethro Kloss – ‘Back to Eden’) when I was only 12yrs old how wonderful it is for the body to ‘apple fast‘ & eat apples all day, skins, cores & all, with lots of fresh water in between. I’ve done it quite a few times with great success (only I like to add green drinks into the course of the day). So I guess you could say I’m healthy living proof that apple seeds won’t poison you if you just eat them once a while;)

Some benefits of Apple seeds

Apple seeds are in fact rich in vitamin B-17, something we don’t get a lot of. This valuable little nutrient, also found in apricot kernals, buckwheat, strawberries, cashews, & other natural foods. Some studies that I found online say vitamin B-17 actually helps to prevent cancers & even inhibit or reverse tumor growth. (Of course I’m not claiming apple seeds can cure you of cancer & you should probably ask your doctor what he/she thinks before going on mad apple seed eating binges!) Besides that, eating one whole apple or binging on apple seeds are 2 different things.

Apple seeds, like ANY SEED ON THE PLANET, contain the ‘lifeforce‘ or energy to sprout new life!! That’s energy to fight disease & promote healthy cells. Food for thought indeed.

Love & chocolate
