Asian raw food salad

I recently bought this Gefu Spirelli spiral slicer and I am obsessed with it. I use it to slice vegetables in long pasta-like ribbons.

This is a simple recipe for an Asian raw food salad is made in minutes; it’s delicious and crispy.

  • 2 large carrots
  • ¼ of cabbage
  • 1 large zucchini
  • pine nuts
  • tamari sauce
  • toasted sesame oil
  1. Slice the cabbage in thin slices.
  2. Slice the zucchini and carrots in a spiral slicer
  3. Add the pine nuts.
  4. Add a bit of tamari sauce and sesame oil.
  5. Mix it together well.
  6. Serve on a plate.

    Hello Lonneke,
    Thank you for this great salad that seems really good.
    I make my own salads almost every day that I take to my work and this salad makes me want.
    For Europeans who, like me, don’t have the “Gefu Spirelli spiral slicer” go to:, it sells for 18 euros only !!
    To replace the tamari sauce (I don’t like sauces, I always find it too fat and the japanese food is renowned for being fat, right?), I prefer to put lemon juice in my salads. (it’s ok ?).
    There will be a lot of tools in my kitchen now, but a great cook like me must have lots of kitchen tool (What ? ….. of course, I’m a great cook …… hey Lonneke, why are you laughing ?!!!)
