I made my first (healthy) apple pie!

I did not dare to also make the crust, so I used a pre-made crust (Wholly Wholesome Spelt Organic Shell I bought at Whole Foods).

But the filling was all by me!

Using fresh apples from the farmers market, (ask the sales person which ones are best for apple pie), and mostly fresh and organic ingredients.

This is what I used for the filling:

*8 small apples cut in pieces.

*3 table spoons organic All-Purpose flour

*1 table spoon brown sugar

*half a cup of organic skim milk

*half a teaspoon lemon oil ( or teaspoon lemon juice )

*handful organic raisins

*teaspoon cinnamon

*one organic egg, beaten.

*handful of crushed organic walnuts.

Put walnuts, raisins, apples, lemon oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour in a bowl and mix.
Put the mix in the pie shell.
Add milk on top of mix. ( to make it juicier without butter)

Cover it all with the egg also the border of the shell.

Preheat oven on 425 degrees Fahrenheit, and bake on 375 degrees Fahrenheit until apple pie is golden brown.

Serve preferably hot.

Next time I will try to also make the crust myself, but this recipe is quite easy and super tasty!
