DESIGNERS AGAINST AIDS (DAA) is a project founded in 2004 to raise AIDS Awareness in the international media and towards the general public -more specifically towards young people in the industrialized countries- using elements from pop culture (music, fashion, design, arts, sports, film, celebrities, etc).
A great example of this approach are the Fashion Against AIDS campaigns/collections launched worldwide in partnership with H&M, joining forces with renowned fashion designers and music artists - the perfect cooperation between a creative charity brand and a high street retailer!
In the online shop, in collaboration with Global Detox, DAA presents pesticide-free, Fair Trade cotton collections consisting of celeb-designed T-shirts, hoodies, underwear and nightwear for men and women.
By purchasing these items you will be supporting the creation of the International HIV/AIDS Awareness Education Center (IHAEC) in Antwerp, Belgium, which aims to inspire and teach young people to raise awareness in their own country of origin, after they have followed a month-long course with us.
The DAA logo - stitched or printed on every item we sell - features our website url, enabling people to find recent information on HIV/AIDS through the ‘Links’ page on our website. DAA also takes part in events, exhibitions, fairs and festivities and collaborates with interested artists, organisations and brands - drawing more attention to the cause as they go.
Wearing DAA garments will make you feel good in more ways than one!
