Hi all!

I decided I want to get in my best shape for my vacation. I will be going to Ibiza beginning of June! I want to get in best shape possible for my bikini those days of course. So I decided to keep a (food) diary. Food and work out is a big part of looking great! So I am going to go for as close to 100% eating perfect, and working out every day. Plus I will get some great treatments, to improve my appearance.

Not bad, I did this job in Corsica a few weeks ago, but I am noticing I am not as toned as usual. And a bit pale :s. I have been working too hard on organiceyourlife.com I have not worked out as much! Bad girl…  I want to get back to my Sports Illustrated shape as below!(with the tan preferably ;) ):

That means I have to be tough on myself! No chocolate all the time, eating healthily and also moving my *ss more! You have to work for result… So, I am telling you exactly what I am doing coming weeks. What do I do to get in Top Shape again? I will show you my improvements, and you will also get to see what I eat, and how I change in shape and how my skin will improve! Trust me it will happen, just from one day, you already start having hydrated skin if you drink a lot of water… Will you join me coming 2 weeks and keep track as well? Let’s motivate each other!  DAY 1: To start off, I am making it very difficult for myself, as today right away I am taking a flight to across the Atlantic Ocean! But I took the time to wake up (if I get up fast I am tired all day, so I wake up early and take some extra time to just relax in bed before I get up) . I saw all the support tweets and messages and got excited! I started the day with a shot of Chlorophyll on an empty stomach. In the USA it is easy to get, it is the same as in a wheat grass shot, try to find it in your local health store. Chlorophyll is critical in photosynthesis in plants (absorption of energy from light). Then I looked what I still had in my fridge… And made a smoothie! Smoothie: Banana, coconut water, fresh lemon juice, flax seeds.

Workout: 25 min treadmill. I hate doing things for prolonged periods of time. but running while watching something on the iPad is good, and I put my favorite dance music on when I jump on trampoline. I DON’T like work out but I know that every time I start I get in greater shape and feel great after, like I can conquer the world. And feeling sweaty feels good too (release of toxins from your body) It makes your skin soft and nice too! At noon I went to get a nice facial at Tracie Martyn. Getting facials makes your skin glow! Deep cleansing and microdermabrasion. Find a good place close to where you live.

For lunch: I was cleaning out my fridge as I am leaving today. So I made soup!

Ingredients
  • water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • soy sauce
  • sesame oil
  • chopped fresh parsley (lots of it)
  • chopped fresh cilantro
  • chopped tomatoes
  • chopped onions
  • rosemary
  • oregano
Instructions
  1. saute onions in a pan
  2. other stock put add water, salt, pepper, soy sauce, chopped tomatoes, parsley, oregano, rosemary, onions, sesame oil.
  3. After 30 min, when soup is done, serve and let cool off
  4. add cilantro for flavor and as garnish.
  5. enjoy!

I made a salad to go to the airport, which I ate: romaine lettuce, walnuts, cucumber, yellow peppers, a few pieces of old Gouda cheese, grapes, olive oil, salt, pepper, cilantro, parsley:

During the day if I felt hungry I snacked on some cherries, grapes and nuts. I took a flight from NYC to Amsterdam with KLM. Before that I took a 30 min back massage at Express Spa. You know the one where you sit in a chair and they put their elbows in your back. I love it! So I fell asleep easily on the flight and got a few hours of sleep on the way over. Day 2: I landed in Amsterdam at noon. I went to the hotel. When you are running around you sometimes forget to eat, therefore it is always good to have some sort of snacks with you, that you can eat while on the go.  I went for lunch: a nicoise salad with grilled tuna. Then I walked around the “Vondelpark” with my nephew Navy and his father (my brother-in-law Michael Lamey) for a few hours. We were so tired when we got home as it was so sunny and warm too! I also had to carry Navy, on my back or in my arms, so that was a great work out. For dinner I had a couscous salad with grilled shrimp. And a decaf latte (sorry I could not help it it helps my digestion after a flight) I was so busy all day doing fun things that I forgot food. i just made sure that when I ate, it was delicious! Tomorrow I am going vegetarian I think. I hope they have some good options at the shoot… Day 3: Sorry I did not update this day earlier, but I was shooting today for a campaign with Dutch top models Cato van Ee & Sophie Vlaming.

in the morning I ate breakfast in the hotel: 1 banana, 1 slice of bread, a few strawberries, fruit yoghurt, green tea, orange juice, 1 hard boiled egg.

    I’m going to start by doing sit ups for 5 minutes every morning. De rechte en schuine buikspieren. Work out everyday, or at least do sport every day. Swimming, RPM, Body Pump, Yoga. Succes getting in shape Lonneke! Ik vertrouw erop dat we samen zullen slagen. Ik eet verder veel groente, en zal nog beter op mn dieet letten. Cut down sugar and bread.. Ik heb erg last van mijn darmen helaas. Wat adviseer jij? Ik heb al veel geprobeerd, maar het werkt niet. Misschien zal de bewegingsroutine verandering brengen hierin. Ik hoop jouw dagelijkse updates te lezen. Dank je! liefs uit Eindhoven xx

    Hi Lonneke,
    I think you already look stunning in the first picture. But there is nothing wrong with wanting to look (and feel) the best you can right ;)? I’d love to join the coming weeks. Since I’m strugling with getting into a good eating habbit I think this might keep me motivated to keep eating healthy untill it feels normal.

    Hi girls! You know everyone has a certain body physique that is the best shape for him or her. I know mine is when I was in Sports Illustrated shape. No junk in the trunk and I felt the best ever! But if you sit behind a desk for long periods of time, you do get areas around your thighs and butt that need some help. Everyone has moments like that in their life I promise! But every day is a great day to start the rest of your life ;)So the only thing that works is taking in great foods, and start moving! And truly, whatever you chose to do to move: It is always better than doing nothing! Walking stairs, jumping on trampoline… run….I DO NOT believe in diets, but eating enough and wholesome, healthy foods, mostly plant based (veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds). Be prepared when you go to places or get into situations where you might be tempted to eat bad food. Or if there is no food, bring your own. And take time to make your own food. I know it is tempting to go for prepared foods but it is usually just not as good for you as your own. Good Luck and just so you know: Readers like yourself motivate me too! Xlonneke

    Hey Lonneke,

    Your post couldn’t have come at a better time! For the last few weeks (and pretty much my whole weight-conscious life), I have been hemming and hawing about ways to realistically change the way I eat and feel better about myself. Like you, I believe that heavy, processed, rich foods wreck havoc on our systems and I have been looking around and trying to figure out how to change what I eat. My biggest weakness is sugar (chocolate, candy, and anything else that excites the tastebuds) and I find it really difficult to give up! I have tried to cut back and cut down but I’ve always found it nearly impossible not to eat something sweet after a meal.

    I’ve taken a look at a few of your posts and am starting to feel inspired to change what I eat! I will keep an eye out to see how your next few weeks go! :)

    Hi Lonneke, I am new here
    I started following this amazing site about two months ago
    I have eating disorder since.. too many years and I need to stop it, I really want.
    I am trying to do it by myself.. and I am sure I will do it!
    I adore your way of living, I am really into helth food now..even if every day I have to fight against all my “enemy”..
    I am starting to follow your (and all the people like you and Valentina) way of life.
    I started with some salad recipes, now I have a blender and yesterday I bought a juicer, I have ever loved fruit and vegetables a lot so I hope this will be the utlimate fight for me to win over my problem.. it will be a long journey but I hope it will end in the better way possible. wish me luck! :-)

    A good stay in shape tip is to walk everywhere.Get out of the car,the cab,the subway,and walk.Sitting on a bike flattens your butt haha.I’m going to yoga teacher training tomorrow for a month so I’ll be in good shape after that haha. Already I do yoga,light weights,then run 2 miles.I feel so great,but most of all,I love my body and do not hold on to looking a certain way,or comparing myself with how I looked in the past or with another person’s body.I had a lot of health issues and gained weight,but so what? It’s just weight,that’s not the substance or summation of our being.

    oh yeah I also use Chlorophyll too.It’s great! I have that after warm H20 with lemon and bee pollen,pro biopics,spirulina,turmeric,other supplements.I actually LOVE the taste now haha

    HI Francy, we at Organice Your Life® wish you luck! Eating salads, making smoothies and enjoying lots of fruits & vegetables is very good! But I always recommend to anyone that if they feel they have an eating disorder, to go find someone (help) who can guide you while getting back to the strong YOU! I am sure you can do a lot yourself, just like you are doing, but having someone by your side is very important when your issues are serious. I always tell everyone to get checked by a doctor before making any major change in your diet. Good Luck from me too! Tajna, you will probably become an awesome yoga teacher, good luck to you too!     Hi Lonneke,
    Good idea on the Chlorophyll! I know what it is, and will get it tomorrow. It has a lot of protein too, which is extra good when working out. As for my day, I had a good body work out and movement today. Then had a good protein smoothie with soya milk, protein powder of rise, and peach, and blueberries for antioxidants. Tastes really good. Then I got myself a jumping rope. I want to jump rope every morning for a few minutes. I am trying to not eat sweets and treats. Especially it is important to eat things that have one ingredient. Meaning: pure food. non processed or added things that are not good for you. Whole foods.. like the soup you made.. organic, not from a can. Thank you for doing this all together! I love it! And I feel so great after having been doing exercises to get in better shape. Ooit gehoord van bindweefselmassage? Dat is heel goed voor de doorbloeding en afvoeren van afvalstoffen. Ik las ook dat het goed is bij het in goede vorm komen. Het is niet pijnlijk, zoals ze beweren. Het is wellicht de moeite. Ik heb het ooit eerder gehad bij een goede fysiotherapeut, en het helpt mij voor koude handen en voeten. Sorry, this just was easier in Dutch! Good day tomorrow and keep it up! love, Catherina

    Hi everyone, I started with a shot of wheatgrass juice on an empty stomach, an orange and two slices of whole grain bread with two boiled eggs. I walk a quarter two the railway station and after my train ride I went to my internship with the bycicle. I brought a salad with me from fresh products: half an avocado, a tomatoe, romaine letuce and a dressing of olive oil, a little balsamico and lemon juice. For extra protein I’ll add hemp seads. For a snack I brought a couple of almonds. Also I will make sure to drink enough water.

    Haha there must be something in the water, really, since Im also toning up to get into runway shape. My go-to-meals are green smoothies, lots of plant-based proteins and heaps of water. And workout of course! Lots of motivation to you, love the project xx

    unfortunately I do not live in soho & reading you, I think could be easier for those like me to hang pdfs so we can organize our life around this.
    I know is an extra effort for you but for ever all would be orderly.

    hi everyone,
    yesterday I had an employee day on my internship and we were able to pick an activity to do during the day. I went to a climbing forest. It was great fun and I trained a lot of muscles. Since it was very hot I had to drink loads of water to compensate the sweating.
    I ate lots of fresh fruit and I snacked on some almonds and walnuts. At the and of the day there was a barbeque with lots of veggie stuff, so I ate a saled with barbequed paprica and a nice vegetarian burger.
    Today I do feal my muscles so I will make sure to eat enough protein rich foods.

    You inspire me, Lonneke!
    After trying to eat more healthy for the last couple of weeks, I decided it was about time to change my work-out regime. I stepped away from the boring old gym, and this morning I had my first yoga class! I’ve been postponing it for a long time, but today I finally decided to go and try it. It was an interesting and pleasant experience, and I will definitely go back again.
    After I came from the yoga class, I made myself a healthy juice with 3 oranges, 1 lemon, 2 kiwi’s, a small carrot and 2 small cucumbers. Mixed it all together and topped it with some chia seeds. It tastes good and it makes me feel good :)

    I look forward to the rest of your diary! Hopefully it will inspire me as much as all your other posts do :)

    Hii everyone,
    I can see everybody is doing a great job! Keep it up!
    Since it is beautyfull weather in the Netherlands it’s no punnishment to go outside. So yesterday I took my bycicle to the horse I ride and take care of in the weekends. This is half an hour. Then I went horseriding in the forest. I find this very relaxing while I do exercise. I also used my bycicle back home so I had a lot of exercise.
    I started my day with a wheatgrass shot and a lot of strawberry’s. during the day I snacked on almonds and dried abricots. For lunch I had a delish salad of romaine, tomatoes, 2 hard boiled eggs and a paprica.
    For diner my mom made a salad with iceberg and rucola with some mais and green beans. I did sin with a little piece of baklava. During the day I drank a lot of water.
    Because I really felt my hair was drying out in the sun, so I went to Lush. They have a great hair mask called “hair doctor” which is made completely out of natural and organic products. At home I put it in my hair and when I washed it out my hair felt silky soft.

    It’s the little things in a day that count! Anything that makes you feel or look better is something you should spend time on. Relax in the park with friends, go ride you horse, drink healthy juices… put a hair mask on, it all works! keep up the good work! #2weeks2fitness :)

    I don´t know what to say. I was looking for rhubarb, what is?. apple juice Is one of my favorite,
    Tomorrow have a hard morning & delicious afternoon ( have to see belle my daughter), so the day after will prepare your salad & taste it. I´ll say you something.
    So many architects here in the world, I know something about that, is real funny (show me the building). I study a lot of Dudok, Stam,…..

    Hii everyone,
    I had a really bad day yesterday, I didn’t feel well and I snacked on a lot of sugary stuf. I don’t know why I did it. This is my biggest problem in keeping up a healthy eating habbit. Because once I fell of the wagon I usually can’t seem to stop. It’s so weard because I feel bad about eating badly but I keep doing it which makes me feel bad bodywise as well.
    So today I am going to try to let go of yesterday, because I think the biggest problem lies in worrying about stuff I am not able to change anyway.
    I started my day off whith a glass of wheatgrass juice and a glass of lemon juice water, I ate an orange and a banana. I took two slices of whole grain bread, an avocado and some romaine and some pineseads to my internship so I can make a nice salad for lunch. For diner I will see what my mum makes. For exercise I used the bicycle to my internship. it’s about 40 minutes in total.

    Thanks Jota and Aaron J! And Dphne: the beauty is that each day is a new day to start the rest of your life. Don’t worry about what has passed, just make better choices in the future! (that’s how I think). If you worry too much you end up spending too much precious time that you can’t make up in life worrying about things. Noticing it, and thinking about it (processing it) is good, but once you have dealt with it, let it go, and start fresh! Good luck! XLonneke

    Yesterday I Dip my feet in cold water next to my daughter and that stupid thing Made us laugh for a long while. I discover reading your last news, that Ordinary people like me still feels on skin when someone around the world net is down.
    When things like that happens to me I use to go for a walk around Nature (and opens my ears) or walk around anonimous people looking forward unexpected moments surprise me. Although chocolate is one of the best recipe.
    Hope you feel better & don’t fight with forces, use them

    Hi Lonneke,
    it’s good to see and read that you’re having such a good time at home with your family and friends :) In a few days I am finally going to the Netherlands as well to visit my fam and friends. I want to pay a visit to De Vegetarische Slager. Any recommendations on what I should try? I’m really excited about de vegetarische sauzijnenbroodjes, haha. Maybe you have some other tips for me.

    In the meantime I took my 2nd yoga class, and I am going to my 3rd one today! I started my morning with grapes, half a mango, and a fresh squeezed orange juice with half a lemon. Drinking plenty of water in between.

    Btw, I’m looking forward to the couscous recipe!

    I like your tips and recipes – but from time to time I wonder whether you ever think of anything else but your well-being and your looks. Well, I guess you have to self-optimize yourself all day long, since you earn your money by being a model and showing off your body – but do you think it is healthy to be so self-focused?
    Relax. At least a little.

    @SaskiaSummer you really have to try the ”vegetarische saucijzenbroodjes” they are my favourite, yummie (from another fan of the vegetarische slager :-)

    btw I am following a diet but the site is a good inspiration for me to eat more fresh products!
