Get your HEMPY on!… Hemp Mylk

Today I’m excited to share with you my glorious new Hemp Mylk recipe which is not only SF DF GF, but also NUT FREE! Seriously super awesome! Just sipping on an organic Dande Latte (only with the milk below) & its amazzze. So here it is. Easy & yummy, superfood-y, super-frothy Hemp Mylk

Recipe:

1/3 cup hulled hemp seeds
1 dessertspoon maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
pinch cinnamon powder, optional

2 cups water

BLEND until it becomes white, super smooth, frothy & creamy Mylk. Strain through a nut milk bag if desired (I never do!), otherwise you may strain it when you’re just about to use it through a fine gauze strainer.

Enjoy in smoothies, over breakfast, anywhere you’d use regular milk. To make this Mylk ‘probiotic’ add one capsule dairy free probiotic powder to the recipe before blending ;)

Love Abigail xxx

    Hi Abigail,
Thank you very much for this recipe. I think this recipe would suit me very well for breakfast. I am pleased to see that the famous “nut milk bag” is not indispensable, because I am unable to find in my small town. I’ll try it !
I bought my first bottle of almond milk, and … wow! It is really really very good, I haven’t made by myself honestly because I’m a big lazy !!! (I don’t have “nut milk bag” and of course that is easier to buy than to make !), but I really advice everyone to try almond milk.
    Have a nice day Abigail.

Yes Christophe, I love Almond Mylk best for alkalinity & taste too! I’m so glad the Hemp Mylk will benefit you. Hemp does have a slightly unusual aftertaste, but definitely worth getting used to (the tastebuds CAN be retrained!) as it is an intense superfood, easy to use & extremely versatile. :) Love to hear how it turns out for you!

    Hi abigail,
Honestly, I have not tried yet hemp milk, but I promise to make before the end of the week, I’ll buy hemp seed tomorrow after work (my Biocoop is closed on Mondays). and I’ll tell you what I really think. (my case is serious, I fell in love almond milk!!!!).

    Hi Abigail,
I bought a bottle of hemp milk (they are in bottled in my bicoop : “lait de chanvre” in french).
Healthy foods have become very important in my life, like everyone, I find some recipes very good and other less. Milk hemp is one of foods that I really didn’t like (I didn’t like the taste), but I think it’s good thing to try foods that we don’t know, so thank you very much Abigail.

HA you are experimental! Me too! Yes I personally don’t like the aftertaste, but I will make it – as it is practically instant – if i need raw milk fast. :)) You can pop it into smoothies, & coffee disguises the hempy aftertaste well (so u can use it up!) :P All the best Christophe
