I made my first (healthy) apple pie!
I did not dare to also make the crust, so I used a pre-made crust (Wholly Wholesome Spelt Organic Shell I bought at Whole Foods).
But the filling was all by me!
Using fresh apples from the farmers market, (ask the sales person which ones are best for apple pie), and mostly fresh and organic ingredients.
This is what I used for the filling:
*8 small apples cut in pieces.
*3 table spoons organic All-Purpose flour
*1 table spoon brown sugar
*half a cup of organic skim milk
*half a teaspoon lemon oil ( or teaspoon lemon juice )
*handful organic raisins
*one organic egg, beaten.
*handful of crushed organic walnuts.
Next time I will try to also make the crust myself, but this recipe is quite easy and super tasty!
